Pick up your trail and follow the coral path through the galleries, discovering the vibrant citizens of the Moana beneath the waves along the way. Young ones can create their own miniature honu turtle keepsake to take home, and don’t forget to snap a selfie with their dazzling performer inspired by the moana.

Get creative with your whānau at our free drop-in art-making sessions every weekend and during school holidays from 11AM to 3PM. With imagination and creativity, a hidden jewel can be revealed.

Storytime & Watercolours for tamariki

Get creative these school holidays by bringing your Tamariki to Gus Fisher Gallery for a story time session and watercolour workshop. Begin with a whānau-friendly story time in the gallery, followed by a guided watercolour workshop that explores ideas of dreaming, place and imagination.

A collaborative hands-on installation designed by Do Ho Suh with his young daughter, it's an evolving sculptural environment created from children's modelling clay. The installation features imaginative creatures and fantastical landscapes and invites visitors of all ages to sculpt their own creations.
